Comment by Tony M. - participant who joined us on our Iceland Overland July 2015 Tour
"...Wildcat Adventures, run by John Fulton and his business partner, Brigitte...launched their first venture to iceland with a small group of customers this July, having invested time and money the previous year on a month's long research visit with their own motorbikes.
This inaugural trip proved a great success. Each and every participant thoroughly enjoyed this immersion into icelandic scenery, culture, wildlife, weather, hospitality, and wonderful, wonderful tarmac and gravel "f" roads!
In my opinion, and the the opinion of each fellow Wildcat customer, one of whom will be seventy this September. This was a great quality tour at a great price and content, especially as we shipped our own bikes rather than hire 650 g/s which are limited to certain surfaces.
So have a look on line at Wildcat and view their gallery. I can't recommend the trip enough. John and Brigitte are really great people to travel with" Tony M (Iceland Overland Tour July 2015) - It is worth noting that Tony has completed 5 expeditions and has ridden Round The World.

Ride your own bike on this great adventure
We assist you with all phases of the shipping process - Freighting will cost approximately £700 (return) including marine insurance.
Your bike is shipped as is. It is loaded into a shipping container, secured, and padded with air bags for protection. You may ship your bike with panniers fully packed and bike ready to ride once it arrives in Iceland (windscreen and mirrors are left in place!)
1 week prior to the start of the tour you will take your motorbike to the port for shipping from UK to Iceland.
9 days AFTER the end of your trip your bike will be ready for you to collect from the port.
Our tour starts and ends in Reykjavik.
LEVEL OF RIDING DIFFICULTY:
You must be an experienced rider and confident riding your own motorbike (with luggage) on tarmac, hard packed gravel, river crossings, and muddy roads.
THE TERRAIN:
Our route is a mixture of quiet tarmac roads and remote hard packed gravel roads. Interior roads are a combination of gravel which may be muddy and some are a mix of volcanic ash, gravel, and rocks. There are a few exciting river crossings.
THE WEATHER:
The weather in Iceland is not unlike that in Scandanavia - You will have to be prepared for anything - wind, rain, fog, sun, cold, and heat. Temperatures may vary 5-20C.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation is a combination of hotels, guest houses, and camping.
Several of the accommodations do not have ensuite rooms. You will however always have a comfortable bed & shower facilities.
Campsites have been chosen for their beautiful settings - all have full facilities including showers, and toilets. There is a restaurant on site or nearby.
Client Comment:

Thanks again for everything& I appreciated that very very much." Hans-Peter S. (Iceland Overland Tour July 2015)
