Day 1 - Meet at accommodation
in Tarifa, Southern Spain at 19:00hrs for a tour briefing and introductions.
(Riding down through Spain is quick and easy. Call us for advice on route and accommodation including ferry options pre/post tour)
Day 2 - Tarifa to Middle Atlas Mtns
Short ferry to Morocco. Ride through the Rif mountains to our quiet town in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enroute we visit the famous Roman site of Volubilis.
Overnight in hotel.
Total: 240 Miles road
Day 3 - High Atlas Mountains
A magnificent ride through the snow peaked High Atlas to our mountain auberge in the heart of the Atlas.
Overnight in mountain auberge.

Day 4- Atlas Canyons and Jbel Sarhro Mountains
A breathtaking ride through the incredible gorges of the Atlas into the volcanic mountains of the Jbel Sarhro.
Overnight in Legionnaires Fort.

Day 5- The Land of a thousand Kasbahs
An exciting day ride exploring the Gorge Du Dades and the pistes of the Valley of the Roses. A photographer's paradise. Overnight in Legionnaires Fort.

Day 6- Jbel Sarhro Traverse
We ride the high plains then turn south to traverse Jbel Sarhro to our accommodation in a small Berber village overlooking a palmerie.
Overnight in a traditional Kasbah.

Day 7- Vallee Du Draa and desert bivouac
A fantastic ride through the mountains and palmeries of the Draa Valley to the colourful desert town of Zagora. Tonight we enjoy a traditional Berber feast with music and dancing.

Day 8- The edge of the Sahara
A ride south following the River Draa to the desert town of Mhamid, at the base of Morocco's southern most dunes - the edge of the Sahara.

Day 9- Kasbahs & Cascades
A rollercoaster ride on the pistes of the Draa Valley, crossing the Jbel Sarhro to Ouarzazate on the high plains.
Overnight in a magnificent kasbah.

Day 10- AitBenHaddou & Marrakech
We traverse the High Atlas Mountains over the Tizi-n-tichka pass - one of the most beautiful in the world to the imperial city of Marrakech. Enroute we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of AitBenHaddou.
Overnight in hotel with pool.

Day 11- Marrakech rest & sightseeing
Morning guided visit to the city's highlights (market, palaces,gardens).
Afternoon well deserved rest.

Day 12- Out of Africa
An enjoyable and scenic ride north to Tangier on the new motorway. Afternoon fast ferry from Tangier to Tarifa arriving 17:00hrs Spanish time.

We will have plenty of rest stops throughout the day to take on food & fluids and admire the incredible views.
The focus of this tour is on enjoyment - it is not a race!

THE ROUTE
Desert & Mountains Raid Route
MOROCCO - a paradise for the offroad adventure motorcyclist. An unspoilt land of amazing contrasts, magnificent mountains, forests and desert landscapes.

Join us for an unforgettable adventure and explore the remote tracks, high passes, valleys and spectacular gorges of the high Atlas Mountains, Jbel Sarhro, and the fringes of the Sahara.

We pass through Berber villages and witness a way of life unchanged for centuries.
We take the time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait BenHaddou - the magnificent village of kasbahs on a mountainside made famous by many classic films.

Before we finish our ride in Morocco we visit the most famous and most vibrant of the Imperial cities - Marrakech.

A typical day's riding starts at 8am and we reach our destination around 4pm.

TERRAIN
Our tour is a mix of road and offroad riding. The offroad sections (pistes) are generally landrover width. The surfaces are a combination of hard packed (hamada) and gravel roads. There will be dry riverbed crossings with a combination of sand and gravel. Any water crossings will be very shallow and short. Offroad tyres are necessary.

When we meet you will receive a map providing a detailed description of each day's ride, highlights, fuel points, meeting points, and accommodation address and telephone numbers.
